The 20th edition of the Flower Carpet in Brussels is based on the 150 years lasting Belgian-Japanese friendship.
From the 12th until the 15th of August 2016 the public can admire the temporary carpet of 1.800 square metres or 600.000 begonias at the Grand Place.
The design is created by the belgian graphic designer Mark Schautteet and the young Japanese designer Fujie Suzuki.
During the Easter holidays, “The Crystal Ship” arrived in Ostend: renowned and world-famous artists made enormous paintings on walls as well as fantastic art installations in open spaces. All together, this creates an artistic journey in and around Ostend. ‘The Crystal Ship - kunstenfestival in de Stad’ (art festival in the city) is the biggest festival of its genre in Europe.
The art of the most popular artists like Roa, Cyrcle, Guido Van Helten, Eversiempre, Robert Montgomery and many others can be admired in Ostend and will stay visible for at least 2 years.
